Ducks, Dogs and Bourbon
The law was not a set of rules - it was a set of names.
Here is a preview story from my upcoming book, No Safe Harbor. It’s centered around my life on a plantation in the Lowcountry during the early 70s. It’s a story of Southern charm, corruption, and the cost of trust.
This story is exactly what happened on an early morning when the Judges came to Pleasant Point Plantation for the finest duck hunting in all of Beaufort County.
This is my most personal work to date.
